Dr. Morten Middelfart

From the young age of 14, Dr. Morten Middelfart had already begun working professionally in the software industry. His passion for computers continued to grow and by his 25th birthday he had established Morton Systems, a successful company specializing in business intelligence and business analytics.

His research into the ways people make decisions, both in terms of intelligence and the intuition behind it, became highly appealing to TARGIT and in 1997 Morton Systems was acquired by the company. Morten was appointed CTO for TARGIT and became responsible for its technological direction and educational activities. Today, TARGIT is recognized as one of the top 15 international vendors by industry analysts and has over 4,000 customers with more than 280,000 named users.

Morten has received his MBA from Henley Management College in the UK and holds not one, but two Ph.D.’s – one from Rushmore University in the US, where he published the groundbreaking book about Computer Aided Leadership and Management (CALM) and the other from Aalborg University regarding his revolutionary data mining mechanism, Sentinels. Morten’s second Ph.D. presents a series of algorithms which efficiently function as a new mechanism with data mining – a search for patterns and structures in large sums of data.
