David Yack is a hands on technology consultant, author, speaker and trainer with solid management experience in privately held and Fortune 500 companies. David has over 20 years of experience in the IT industry.
David is a Microsoft Certified Professional and has been developing on the Microsoft platform since 1992 and is unique in the fact that he also has strong Unix/Java/C++ development experience as well. David has been developing on the Microsoft .NET platform since the middle of 2001 during the first beta of .NET. David’s currently is focusing his .NET development interest towards Microsoft Silverlight, Dynamics CRM, Team System, and Windows Workflow Foundation. David is involved in preparing and delivering training content on Dynamics CRM 2011 developer training.
In addition to core .NET development technologies, David has a special interest in Microsoft Business Solutions and their integration capabilities. David has been involved in all aspects of multiple Microsoft Dynamics CRM deployments using both the onsite and hosted model. David has been instrumental in the development of an import tool used to migrate data from legacy products in to Microsoft Dynamics CRM and other CRM related utilities and vertical solutions from an ISV perspective. David has trained extensively on Microsoft Dynamics CRM 4.0 and CRM 2011 and has traveled globally on behalf of Microsoft training their leading ISVs on the platform.
David is recognized by Microsoft as a MVP and is a Microsoft Regional Director. Microsoft Regional Directors are not Microsoft employees, but are independent and provide a vital link between Microsoft and the development community. There are currently 130 regional directors appointed by Microsoft worldwide. Both of these allow David the opportunity to interact directly with several key Microsoft Product Teams and is regularly briefed on emerging technologies and requested to provide input on future product development plans.
David is a frequent speaker on .NET at user groups, and industry conferences such as SD Expo, VSLive! and Dev Connections. Microsoft has asked David to present at several of their events like Dev Days, Betas Unleashed and other private events. In addition to frequent speaking engagements on .NET, David is author of Silverlight 4 Jumpstart, Silverlight 3 Jumpstart, CRM as a Rapid Development Platform and co-author on Wrox’s Professional ADO.NET and also ASP.NET MVP Hacks. David lives in Colorado Springs with his wife and two kids.
