Microsoft Dynamics AX is still not considered main-stream in developer circles and usually developers don’t like to switch to this work environment from some main stream technologies like Microsoft.NET or Java. Companies who use Dynamics AX rarely embrace popular Agile approaches like Scrum or XP (eXtreme Programming).
In this track we will focus on what Microsoft Dynamics AX offers to development teams which want to go Agile. We will present currently available mechanisms for integration with Microsoft.NET and briefly cover what is expected in new version of Dynamics AX. We will present VCS (Version Control System) capabilities of Microsoft Dynamics AX which support Continuous Integration as one of key agile pillars. Static code analysis quality checks will be presented, and we will show how we can expand this to include advanced concepts as code quality metrics which companies can use to gain short and long-term benefits from high quality software and code.
